DRAFTING TECHNICIAN II

The Drafting Technician II is responsible for preparing preliminary drawings, drafting markups/changes, updating as-built drawings, and working in tandem with our system engineers. This includes work on multiple systems such as audio-visual, fire alarm, nurse call, security, and many more. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops working drawings from equipment specifications, engineering notes, and related system information.
• Follows System Engineer red-lines to make corrections efficiently and accurately.
• Communicate effectively using internal chat, email, and phone with other Drafting Technicians, System Engineers, and Sales Engineers.
• Competent in AutoCAD as well as REVIT. Applicant must have prior experience in REVIT at a minimum.
• Works closely with System Engineers to ensure a cohesive drawing process.
• Uses a “think outside of the box” approach to problems and obstacles.
• Being organized with multiple projects and tasks happening at the same time.
• Prioritizes tasks according to project schedules.
   

Additional Responsibilities:

• Performs work in adherence to ECC's CAD standards.
• Cultivates positive working relationships within and across departments and actively participates in team meetings and activities.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree a related field, and
• Two years of REVIT or CAD drafting experience, or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the duties of the position
• Valid Driver’s License
• Overtime work when required by supervisor
