The Sales Support Engineer will provide technical support to the sales team and work with our clients to provide solutions that meet their Audio/Visual/Lighting, Communication, Electronic Security, Fire Safety, and Healthcare technology needs. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, have a strong technical background, and be able to interact with clients, sales teams, and technical personnel.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

1. Sales Support
- Work with sales and team members to identify and provide technical solutions for clients in AV, Security, and Healthcare systems
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals and demonstrations of services to clients
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, providing technical assistance and support as needed
- Collaborate with installation and service teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry products and trends, and provide feedback to sales and management teams
- Identify and report potential sales opportunities and competitor activities
2. Project Engineering
- Verifies hardware, software, and system functionality.
- Provides feedback on solution viability as it pertains to integrations with other systems and products.
- Work within a set equipment list to find cost-efficient system for projects
- Understanding project scope of work and ensuring accuracy of system design for smooth transition to install.
- Reviews drafted drawings and communicate engineering changes to Drafting Technicians.
- Communicates well with written RFIs and change orders with project management team and customers.
- Maintains accurate records and organization within Solutions 360 while engineering projects.
3. Additional Responsibilities
- Engages with sales team to ensure most up to date technology and industry standards are shared.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability
- Must have knowledge of the technical aspects of the electronic systems that ECC sales such as audio-visual, fire alarm, security, video surveillance, and nurse call.
- Proficiency in programs as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively handle stressful situations.
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
- Must be solution-focused, personable, forward-thinking and extremely organized.
- Possess adequate communication, customer service and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external team members.
- Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies as they are introduced to the Company.
- Highly adaptable to change.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required by the job.
Required Education and/or Work Experience
- Strong technical knowledge of Audio/Visual/Lighting, Communication, Electronic Security, Fire Safety, and Healthcare Technology Systems with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
