The Warehouse Specialist accurately fills customers’ parts orders, maintains inventory, processes returns, and maintains tools in a safe, timely and courteous manner using approved ECC procedures. In addition, this position professionally responds to internal and external customer parts’ inquiries using the highest standard of customer service; prepares parts for shipping, and/or receives incoming shipments in a safe, timely and courteous manner using approved ECC’s procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely warehouse functions in the following areas:
- Fill customers’ request for parts including verifying proper quantities, part numbers, part description, condition code, lot numbers/expiration dates, etc. Responds to internal and external customers’ inquiries regarding parts issues including tracking of goods using internal and external systems and researching open orders and lost parts<
- Maintain integrity of inventory system by accurately documenting parts’ movements in the computer (i.e., warehouse moves, order fulfillment, credits and returns etc.).
- Maintain accurate inventory by performing cycle counts and manual counts.
- Handle returns and credits as necessary.
- Prepare parts shipments by inspecting and safely packaging parts, performing shipment entry (using FedEx, UPS and freight as needed), producing correct documentation and accurately attaching to order.
- Process incoming shipments, verifies shipment with purchase orders, and visually inspects materials for damage, quantity, descriptions, part number, serial number, condition order, etc. per approved procedures.
- Unload trucks using a pallet jack in a safe and timely manner. Visually inspects materials for obvious damage, properly documents any damage(s), and notifies vendor of damage and internal contact.
- Maintain accurate and timely records regarding packing slips and waybills for both incoming and outgoing packages. Copies and attaches proper documentation to incoming items.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- Minimum three-year related warehousing, shipping, receiving or related experience required
- Valid state driver's license
- Pass a pre-employment background check
- Willing to work extended hours
- Ability to read small print and comprehend simple instructions
- Basic mathematical skills- able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to troubleshot problems and communicate to appropriate customers (internal and external)
- Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to tolerate standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting throughout the day
- Ability to tolerate non-air-conditioned warehouse
