Grundy County Law Enforcement Center

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office is committed to protect, preserve, and safeguard the constitutional and civil rights of all citizens through impartial and courteous law enforcement with integrity and professionalism. They ensure public safety and provide quality service in partnership with their community.

Grundy County Jail is a 30-bed maximum security facility. The facility was completed in early 2008, and was assisted in design by current standing Sheriff, Rodney Herring. The Grundy County Jail is shared with the Trenton Police Department.

The new facility replaces the previous 16-bed jail, which is a 104-year-old building. Now, the two police departments have the benefit of a modern criminal justice center that’s equipped with cameras and electric doors.

They’ve been around, and anytime I have a problem, they’re always there for me to help me fix that problem. I get very quick service. They’re very responsive, and its just been a great partnership with them in the 8 years that I’ve been here at this facility.”
