Grundy County Jail is a 30-bed maximum security facility. The facility was completed in early 2008, and was assisted in design by current standing Sheriff, Rodney Herring. The Grundy County Jail is shared with the Trenton Police Department.
The new facility replaces the previous 16-bed jail, which is a 104-year-old building. Now, the two police departments have the benefit of a modern criminal justice center that’s equipped with cameras and electric doors.
