University of Nebraska-Lincoln: Willa S. Cather Dining Complex

The Willa S. Cather Dining Complex was built in 2017. This state-of-the-art facility incorporates dining, event, and meeting space into a beautiful building on the east side of the University’s City Campus.

The complex features two main meeting spaces: Pioneers and Red Cloud. Pioneers is over 1700 square feet and can hold 100 people in a reception style configuration or more than 75 in a conference or classroom layout. This space includes fully integrated visual and audio capabilities.

The other space, Red Cloud, is one of the largest spaces on the UNL campus, at nearly 6,000 square feet. Able to accommodate multiple configurations, the main Red Cloud room can be left as one large space or separated to become two or three smaller spaces. In its largest configuration, Red Cloud can hold up to 500 seats in theatre style or 350 guests at banquet tables. All lighting, projection, and sound can be controlled on simple-to-use touch panels. Media can be displayed using the built-in PC, a tuner, or by connecting a personal device.
