We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Accountant to join our team in Lincoln, NE. This role will involve maintaining financial records, preparing budgets, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a passion for accuracy and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Prepare periodic reports, including balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements.
• Compile, analyze, and report financial data to support organizational goals.
• Execute month-end closings.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies efficiently.
• Support the year-end audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
• Contribute to the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to management for decision-making.
• Manage state and local license renewals.
• Stay informed about updates in financial regulations and industry best practices.
   

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field or at least 2 years of relevant accounting experience (or equivalent).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently after the training period.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• High ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting.
