We’re looking for a Low Voltage Systems Engineer to join our Omaha team—someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about bringing complex low voltage systems to life. Whether it’s working in hospitals, schools, stadiums, or other commercial spaces, you'll be part of a tight-knit, supportive team that values craftsmanship, collaboration, and doing the right thing.

Systems Engineer Responsibilities

  • Plan, configure, and commission low voltage systems including fire alarms, audiovisual systems, intercoms, clocks, nurse call, and security systems.
  • Interpret technical documents, construction drawings, and schematics to guide installation and system design.
  • Collaborate with project managers, sales engineers, and field technicians to ensure successful system implementation from start to finish.
  • Program and test integrated systems to meet design specifications and applicable codes.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide on-site and remote technical support during installation and service.
  • Maintain accurate records of system configurations, updates, and service activity.
  • Uphold ECC’s values of integrity, teamwork, and a “get it done” mindset on every job.

Systems Engineer Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in electronics, engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in low voltage systems installation, design, or engineering.
  • Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, and industry-specific standards related to low voltage and life safety systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing job sites.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to various job sites.
