Barco's newly launched Smart Amplifier marks a significant leap forward in cinema audio technology, offering a powerful and flexible solution that integrates seamlessly into modern projection environments. With a scalable output ranging from 450W on a single channel to 4000W in bridge mode and support for bi-amp, tri-amp, or quad-amp setups.
Integration with Barco's broader cinema systems enables it to operate within the same user interface as the Barco Series 4 projection platform and the Barco mFusion ICMP-XS media server, allowing cinema operators to manage the projector, media server and audio amplification from a single console. These capabilities significantly simplify workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
The Smart Amplifier also supports hot-swapping, meaning it can be replaced during a show without losing custom configurations or interrupting the screening, reducing downtime and improving service continuity for exhibitors. This process is even more seamless with the Smart Amplifier because it retains or recalls the saved configuration and calibration settings, allowing the new unit to pick up exactly where the old one left off. Eliminating the need for recalibration or manual reconfiguration, making maintenance faster and more efficient.
With its intelligent design and high-performance capabilities, The Smart Amplifier offers a powerful way to reimagine the audio experience by transforming theaters with precision, clarity, and control that set a new standard for cinematic sound.
