Axis Communications continues to lead in network video technology with the launch of advanced thermal cameras and modular fisheye sensor units. These products deliver powerful solutions for organizations seeking both long-range detection and comprehensive situational awareness. Together, they offer unmatched flexibility, durability, and cybersecurity to meet the demands of modern surveillance.
The new AXIS Q1972-E, Q2111-E, and Q2112-E thermal cameras have been engineered to provide outstanding thermal imaging regardless of lighting or weather conditions. They are ideal for 24/7 perimeter security, critical infrastructure protection, and remote monitoring. With lens options ranging from 10 mm to 60 mm, these cameras enable both wide-area surveillance and pinpoint detection of distant events. Built tough for extreme environments, all models are IK10, IP66/67, NEMA 4X, and NEMA TS2-rated, ensuring resilience against impact, water, dust, and corrosion. They also support advanced video analytics and edge-to-edge technology, allowing seamless integration with devices like network speakers and strobe sirens for real-time, automated responses to detected threats. To safeguard sensitive data, all cameras come equipped with Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based cybersecurity platform with FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified secure key storage, ensuring device integrity and data protection. These thermal cameras deliver reliable, high-resolution detection and verification, making them an essential tool for any organization needing accurate threat detection in any environment.
Axis Communications also unveiled two new rugged 5 MP video sensor units—the AXIS F2107‑RE standard sensor and the AXIS F2137‑RE fisheye sensor—designed for modular camera systems in both indoor and outdoor environments. Built for demanding conditions, these sensors offer exceptional image quality with strong low-light performance and are housed in IP66, IP67, and IP6K9K-rated casings to withstand water, dust, shock, vibration, and extreme temperatures ranging from –40°C to 60 °C. The standard F2107-RE model provides a 110° horizontal field of view, while the F2137-RE fisheye version delivers a broad 185° view, making it ideal for wide-area coverage. Both models utilize SMA connectors for secure cabling, ensuring easy installation and compatibility with existing AXIS F21 accessories. They work with AXIS F91 main units, allowing up to three other sensors per main unit for scalable coverage. The compact design allows for discreet placement in challenging or space-constrained environments, such as vehicles, ATMs, and industrial machinery. These additions further expand Axis's flexible modular camera offering, allowing users to place sensor units remotely from the processing unit for greater installation versatility without compromising performance.
Axis' thermal cameras and modular fisheye sensor units offer a comprehensive, high-performance surveillance ecosystem — from long-range threat detection to wide-area situational awareness in complex environments. These solutions are built for flexibility, durability, and security and empower organizations to detect, verify, and respond to threats efficiently, no matter the conditions.
