Biamp Powers Up: New 4800-Watt Voltera Models Ready for Medium and Large Venues

Biamp has unveiled three new 4800-watt models in its Voltera™ series of networked amplified loudspeaker controllers (ALCs), doubling the power capacity of previous models to cater to medium and large venues such as stadiums, concert halls, event centers, and indoor arenas.
The new lineup includes the Voltera D 4800.4, delivering 4800 watts across four channels, and the Voltera D 4800.2M and D 4800.4M, offering 4800 watts over two and four channels, respectively. These ALCs integrate on-board digital signal processing (DSP), merging amplification and processing into a cost-effective, networked solution suitable for larger spaces. Notably, the D 4800.2M and D 4800.4M models feature an integrated TesiraFORTÉ™ DSP, providing comprehensive processing capabilities within a compact 1 RU chassis, sufficient for hosting full Tesira-based systems.

Designed for faster, simpler installations, Voltera ALCs reduce the number of devices to connect and configure, minimizing cabling requirements. When used with Tesira software, they offer excellent control, source selection, and networking capabilities to accommodate various AV scenarios, resulting in exceptional system performance at an affordable price. Additionally, Voltera ALCs are compatible with Biamp's VenueTune software, providing system designers and installers with a staged workflow to design, deploy, and manage their AV systems. Including the ALAMOS loudspeaker library helps streamline amplifier pairing and setup, as it automatically configures Tesira and VenueTune profiles for a wide range of Community, Desono, and Commercial Audio loudspeakers.
Once deployed, Voltera systems are easy to manage thanks to the cloud-based Biamp Workplace platform. Designed for IT teams, AV professionals, and facility managers, this powerful tool allows for remote monitoring and control of all Voltera devices from anywhere.
