AUDIX Q-SYS Control Plugin

Plug In, Power Up, and Simplify Your AV with AUDIX Q-SYS Control Plugin Updates for Interface Integration

Sep 22 2025

AUDIX Dante DN4 AUDIX, a leading U.S. manufacturer of premium microphones for music production, sound reinforcement, and conferencing, has released version 2.1 of its integration for the Q-SYS Full Stack AV Platform. This update enhances the functionality of AUDIX DN4 and DN43 Dante/AES67 audio interfaces, which serve as on-ramps for bringing high-quality audio into Q-SYS environments. Developed in collaboration with Q-SYS and technology partner The Farm, a Midwich Group company, the plugin has been thoroughly vetted and endorsed with the Q-SYS Certified badge, ensuring reliable performance and seamless compatibility.

The DN4 and DN43 plugins allow the interfaces of the same name to feed audio into Q-SYS when leveraged within Q-SYS Designer Software. The DN4 (seen on the left) features four professional-grade microphone preamps and analog-to-digital converters, connecting easily to AUDIX conferencing microphones through a standard RJ45 connection. It supports single-element microphones such as the M45 (seen on the lower left) aimable ceiling-mounted shotgun, M55 pendant, and M70 steerable flush-mount mics. The DN43 (seen on the lower right) is purpose-built for the M3 tri-element pendant microphone, offering an ideal solution for applications requiring advanced coverage and flexibility. Both interfaces are compact, lightweight, and plenum-rated for discreet in-ceiling installations, simplifying cabling and deployment across multi-room AV systems.

AUDIX M45

AUDIX Dante DN43Version 2.1 introduces a more advanced device discovery protocol, enabling Q-SYS to automatically identify connected DN-series devices, display their I/O configurations within the Q-SYS Designer Software interface, and streamline audio signal routing to other devices in the system. This release also supports Q-SYS Reflect, a cloud-based remote AV management, monitoring, and analytics platform. With integration through a free API, AV teams can securely manage systems and performance data alongside existing IT infrastructure.

With the DN-series fully programmable within the Q-SYS environment, integrators can design comprehensive speech and conferencing solutions that combine multiple microphones, touch panels, and multi-channel outputs for local and remote locations. A notable capability of the plugin is its ability to send power and control signals via the network to LED indicators built into select AUDIX microphones. These LEDs can be programmed to provide real-time feedback, such as mute status, peak-level warnings, or other user-defined signals, improving usability for presenters and operators alike.

This update empowers integrators to deliver streamlined, intuitive systems that simplify user interaction while ensuring professional-grade audio performance. By combining AUDIX microphones with the flexibility of Q-SYS, facilities can achieve scalable, future-ready AV solutions for conference rooms, classrooms, and enterprise environments.

"The latest Q-SYS plugin update provides enhanced functionality and seamless integration of AUDIX microphones,” says Steve Young, Sales Director, U.S. Audio for AUDIX, “whether they are in-ceiling, tabletop, gooseneck, or wireless, into any conference or classroom application that is part of the Q-SYS Ecosystem."(AUDIX, In The Press, 2025)
