The Greene County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is the central hub for elected leaders, senior officials and partnering community organizations to coordinate emergency operations that impact Greene County, Missouri. The EOC encompasses the Joint Information Center (JIC) that actively collects information from the Emergency Operations Center's personnel to distribute to the public. The center also holds the Operations Room, Media Center, several multipurpose rooms, Public Information and Coordination Center, Regional Multi-Agency Coordination Center, Policy Room, Control and Information Center, Situation Room, Command, Planning, Logistics and Finance areas.
The Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management sought a local AV Integrator to upgrade the Greene County Emergency Operations Center with innovative, reliable AV Systems that enable their teams to streamline emergency operations. ECC helped design the technology vision for this upgrade through our Complete Design program, providing comprehensive AV System designs that mapped out the entire upgrade plans, and our firm implemented the upgraded AV Systems across 23 spaces to help elevate the EOC's situational awareness and operational efficiencies.
The center piece of the Greene County Emergency Operations Center is their Operations Room, which boasts a 16’x34’ Rear-Projection Video Wall that encapsulates broadcast quality software integration. The Video Wall is charged by a powerful, stand-alone tvONE Video Wall Processor that drives six Panasonic 3LCD WUXGA Laser Video Projectors. Its Crestron AVL Control Touch Panel repurposes the previous layout to maintain personnel's familiar usability. IPTV System integration and local inputs can be displayed in various video wall configurations for automated flexibility, easy power and source control of video displays and projectors, automated lighting control with presets, and simple audio and video sound control all from a touch screen. Eight 65" Panasonic 4K UHD Video Displays are spread around the outside edges of the Operations Room that extend the video sources, and nine pod stations seat 63 emergency operations personnel with integrated AV control to display sources in various configurations.
The Training Room streamlines critical operations, trainings, and educational sessions. Two large video displays are the focal point of the space with additional visual coverage shared through four 65" Panasonic 4K UHD Video Displays. Integrated AVL Control on the podium's Crestron touch panel allows for user-friendly system control, including lighting control and presets. The Policy Conference Room is brought together by a Panasonic WUXGA Laser Projector with HDMI display connectivity paired with intuitive AVL Control via a Crestron touch panel. The Media Room AV System allows the county to seamlessly and quickly distribute information to the public. The backbone of the facility's AV Systems is a Matrix System through Crestron's NVX 4K60 AV-over-IP solution that enables fast and efficient operations communication, collaboration, and real-time situational awareness to empower critical emergency protocols.
