COMPLEX AV SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTED INTO A USER-FRIENDLY, CLEAN AESTHETIC DESIGN

The Herzog Foundation formed after Stanley Herzog passed away in 2019, and wished for the legacy he left to focus on advancing Christian education. The Stanley M. Foundation carries on this vision through catalyzing and accelerating the development of quality Christ-centered K-12 education. In December 2022, the Herzog Foundation opened their doors to a state-of-the-art, 18,000-square-foot headquarters to better focus on their mission.

When Herzog planned their new facility, they wanted a space where they could host hybrid events and meetings, and a production space for podcasts and other media creation. They needed a technology partner to help deploy and train them on the technology they wanted for their facility, and they partnered with ECC to achieve their technology vision.

The Herzog Foundation’s goals for their AV Systems were to implement high quality solutions that maintained a user-friendly experience. Their meeting spaces needed to be flexible for various layout configurations, be capable of unified communications, and the AV Systems needed to keep a clean aesthetic that matched their space. Their main meeting room, Grand Hall, required a large projection screen and exceptional audio speaker coverage with an unobtrusive design.

ECC implemented facility-wide Audio Visual Systems, working closely with the Herzog Foundation to create custom easy-to-use AV Controls, and using technology products that seamlessly blend into the architectural design of the space. The Grace River Hall features a large Video Monitor, multiple Wireless Collaboration options, Wireless Microphones, Crestron Touch Screen AVL Control including Shade Control, and small Surface-Mount Speakers for complete flexibility. The Grand Hall event space boasts a Wireline Projection Screen with Laser Video Projection. A pair of Line Array Column Loudspeakers provide clear audio coverage throughout the space, a PTZ Camera captures all event and meeting video when necessary, Wireless Collaboration options for seamless content sharing, and a Wireless Microphone System is utilized for speech distribution. Two Crestron Wall-Mounted Touch Panels give easy control over the space with audio, lighting, shade, and video control. An iPad was added for another layer of control simplicity, giving Herzog complete Wireless AVL and Shade Control.

The multimedia and podcast studio utilizes a Digital Mixing Console for audio routing, Digital Signal Processor for audio processing and control, a Live Production Switcher for broadcast control, Production Lights, and an Interactive Display to complete a technology-rich studio design. The Digital Mixing Console is programmed with tailored mode presets including an auto mode for streamlined production and a custom mode where you’re able to operate everything on your own right from the mixer. Video Broadcast Cameras feed multiple Digital Video Recorders to capture their multimedia productions.

Both the inside and outside of the facility includes a fully configured Background Music System with power on and off control ability. An interface allows the system to be utilized for audio overflow for hosted event audio or other desired audio to be distributed throughout the facility when needed.
