INNOVATIVE, SEAMLESS JAIL COMMUNICATION AND SECURITY TECHNOLOGY
White County Detention Center is the county jail for White County, Arkansas. It’s a 380-bed facility that consists of four dorms that house females, and eleven pods where they house males. The detention center also has a medical area staffed by a nurse, which has four cells within it, and the ability to house up to eight people.
The White County Sheriff’s Office wanted a technology partner that could help upgrade their Intercom, Jail Control, and Video Surveillance Systems with the latest innovations to ensure the upmost safety and security for their facility. The sheriff’s office selected ECC to help design their technology vision through our Complete Design program to provide comprehensive system designs and ensure their technology systems were designed with full reliability in mind. Upon receiving our comprehensive system designs and plans, the White County Sheriff’s Office elected to continue its partnership with ECC by having our firm implement their systems.
ECC provided our intelligent, touch screen IMPERIUM® Jail Control System to optimize their operations with an integrated solution. The Imperium interface gives the White County Detention Center door control, intercom control, lighting control, outlet control, and TV control at their fingertips from three different control stations. The Imperium System is integrated with their Video Surveillance System to allow for camera call-up to display the associated camera when an Intercom station is pressed. From each control station, the facility can cycle between each inmate area and have complete security control all from the Imperium touch screen.
The detention center is outfitted with a correctional-grade, vandal-proof IP Intercom System integrated to the Imperium Jail Control System. The Intercom System allows for clear and efficient communication throughout the building with the control station operators who each have a desk console placed at their station to seamlessly communicate.
ECC also upgraded the facility’s Video Surveillance System with a robust, networked solution that gives them complete security coverage. The system’s Video Management Software is displayed on large displays at the control stations for easy and accessible security monitoring, paired with a camera call-up monitor at each station for the jail control integration.
The White County Detention Center’s new systems simplify their jail operations with advanced communication and security technology. The systems are protected by ECC’s Complete Care + program to maximize their technology and keep them up and running with proactive, responsive service.
